Reviving Fruit

Maybe I missed an episode that explained this, but why doesn't anything have to die when Ned touches the fruit in the pie shop to make it alive again?  Or does he have a nearby stash of die-able fruit?

It was explained in "Fun in Funeral" -- Ned is bringing back some rotten peaches and a whole window box full of flowers in the kitchen keel over.  Great scene, actually, between Ned and Digby.  I wonder if Digby is such a wonderdog because he's lived several hundred more dog years than normal, making him the Yoda of the canine world.

Speaking of the fruit revivals, it's an awesome visual effect.  Congrats to the graphics team.
